MIB Paris (Students with 3-7 yrs of work experience)

The MIB program is designed primarily to inculcate a systematic and global perspective in the student?s mind which is necessary to manage a global economic and business network. Further, MIB?s program structure is fashioned so as to comply with a wide range of personal and professional activities of its participants.
You will learn to apply theory to management practices with analytical and managerial skills in order to:
- Strengthen and enrich managerial skills on the broad economic unit functions and processes.
- Develop strategic thinking skills.
- Expand your vision of the world and better understand the major international issues
- Consolidate & sharpen your leadership abilities.
Admission and Application:
IMPORTANT: The next intake is January 2012, for Lille Campus only (for students with less than 3 years of work experience). Both Lille and Paris campuses will have an intake for September 2012.
Admission Criteria: A Bachelor?s degree from a recognized university with a minimum average of grade B, or equivalent. We encourage students from various academic backgrounds to apply ? Commerce, Engineering, Arts, Science, Humanities, Languages, etc.
English proficiency test results (Exception: Not required for native English speakers or applicants whose bachelor degrees are taught in English). The minimum scores required are:
- TOEFL: 550 PBT / 79 IBT
- IELTS: 6.0
Work experience
- MIB Lille: 0 ? 3 years of full-time work experience
- MIB Paris: 3 ? 7 years of full-time work experience (preferably business related)
- *GMAT recommended
No prior knowledge of French is required; however French language classes are mandatory for non-French speakers as part of the MIB program.
Tuition payment plan:
The current tuition for the MIB program is 12,000 Euros. All previous exchange students at IESEG or students coming from one of IESEG?s international partner universities automatically receive 10% tuition reduction.
Living Cost:
As a student hub, Lille is relatively less expensive than some of the other major cities in France. Please see below some general estimates for living cost per month:
- Housing ? around 400 Euros (governmental financial help available, see ?housing?)
- Food ? 200 Euros (a sandwich, a coke and a yogurt cost around 3.60 Euros around school area)
- Mobile ? 20 Euros
- TGV to Paris ? 20 to 50 Euros one way
- Local transportation (see ?transportation?)
- Going out ? around 100 Euros
- Miscellaneous (e.g. Le Journal is 1,20 Euros)
MIB Scholarships:
IESEG?s International MIB Scholarship is a merit based scholarship, to help meritorious international students financing their studies. The scholarship encompasses 25% or 50 % tuition waiver, and can be exceptionally extended up to 100%.
This is an entrance scholarship; therefore it will only be awarded to students at the beginning of their studies. There are no specific scholarship application forms.All MIB applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship. The scholarship committee will review all the accepted applications and make the selection at the beginning of May.Selected recipients will be notified by email around mid May.
Scholarship will be granted based on the following, which are part of the application package:
- Academic performance
- Letters of recommendation
- Relevant working experience
- GMAT score (recommended)

Internship :
All MIB students need to complete an Internship as part of their program in order to graduate. The internship could be in France or abroad. However, it is ESSENTIAL that the student speaks some level of French in order to do an internship in France
Length of the Internship : Minimum 2 months, maximum 6 months.

As a history graduate and with work experience of more than 2 years in Education Management sector, I chose IESEG School of Management, Lille Campus for the dynamic MIB curriculum they offer. Moreover, IESEG is know for the maximum international exposure. My MIB class is the melting pot of various culture. Apart from classroom studies, the school also organizes seminars, workshops and company visits for MIB students. I am enjoying my course which has made me a completely different person.
