Fantasy Sports Defenses For 2011

The Football season of 2011 emerge great information that will surely help us on our fantasy team. Here are the top fantasy sports defenses for football 2011.

1. Green Bay - This is a solid defensive unit across the board. With Charles Woodson, Clay Matthews, Tramon Williams, B.J. Raji, A.J. Hawk, Nick Collins to name but a few it's possible to go on all day about the merits of having this defense. Plus it's hard not to want to root for Clay Matthews blowing up quarterbacks every Sunday.

2. San Diego - The Chargers were a solid unit last year and there is no reason to say otherwise this season. Not to mention that the potent Chargers offense should be much improved with key players coming back from injuries enabling the defense to stay off the field and fresh for a lot more time than last year.

3. Pittsburgh - You can't go wrong with the Steelers defense. Every year they are in the top 5 for fantasy defenses and this year will be no different. They play very well together as a unit and are especially good at drafting to fill holes in what is already a formidable defense. They do drop to three because they play so much better with Polamalu on the field, but he has been so injury prone in recent years you are guaranteed a few games without him this season.

4. New York Jets - The Jets defense keeps getting better and with Darrelle Revis getting what he wanted this team could be someone to be reckoned with. This is a well coached defense that believes in the system. Don't believe me; look at what they did to the Patriots in the play-offs last season.

5. Baltimore - The Ravens could be the best run defense in the league, but their secondary is starting to age a bit. Even without a strong secondary they are still a very stout defense and are quite capable of producing some decent fantasy defense numbers all year long.
Sleepers

Philadelphia - The Eagles are a young defense that has loads of potential. They are fast and aggressive and have been getting better each year. Throw in the fact that they have a solid secondary this team could rack you up some serious fantasy points if they play up to their potential.

San Francisco - The Niners are similar to the Eagles in the fact they are young, aggressive and have a huge upside. What they don't have is a decent secondary but luckily for them they play in the NFC West and have the 28th easiest schedule in the NFL. If you don't pick up one of the good defenses early it might be worth your time to wait a couple rounds and pick up the Niners for cheap.

Use this information for your fantasy team and good luck.

Warming climate could give exotic grasses edge over natives

Friday, July 29, 2011

California's native grasses, already under pressure from invasive exotic grasses, are likely to be pushed aside even more as the climate warms, according to a new analysis from the University of California, Berkeley.

In the study, which has been accepted for publication in the journal Global Change Biology and is now available online, UC Berkeley biologists catalogued the ranges of all 258 native grasses and 177 exotic grasses in the state and estimated how climate change ? in particular, increased temperature and decreased rainfall ? would change them.

They concluded that many of the traits that now make exotic grasses more successful than many natives also would allow them to adapt better to increased temperature and likely expand their ranges.

"When we looked at current patterns, we found that warmer temperatures favor certain traits, and these are the traits possessed by exotic species," said coauthor Emily Dangremond, a graduate student in the UC Berkeley Department of Integrative Biology. "This led us to predict that, if the mean temperature increases in all zones in California, there is an increased likelihood of finding exotic species, and an increase in the proportion of species in a zone that are exotic."

The study was inspired by a 2008 class run by David Ackerly, a UC Berkeley professor of integrative biology, that focused on the role plants play in their ecosystem and how those roles may alter with climate change. This area of study, called functional ecology, is being used more and more by ecologists to predict the consequences of global warming.

"The 'trait-based' approach lets us test hypotheses about plant distributions in relation to climate without tying them to the identity of particular species," Ackerly wrote in an email from South Africa, where he is on sabbatical. "As a consequence, the analyses can be generalized beyond California to other grassland areas."

With grasses, the increase in exotics could make the state more prone to wildfires, since invasive grasses dry out in the summer more than do native grasses. Some grasses serve as reservoirs for viruses and other pathogens that attack food crops, while others more efficiently suck up water that would normally be used by other grasses and plants,

Dangremond is involved in a study of European beachgrass (Ammophila arenaria), which she has found harbors deer mice that eat endangered lupines. The beachgrass has invaded sand dunes along much of the coast in California, Oregon and Washington, she said.

For the current study, Dangremond and postdoctoral fellow Brody Sandel, now at Aarhus University in Denmark, divided California into 800 zones, and characterized all the grasses in these zones according to 10 distinct traits related to growth, reproductive and light capture strategies. These traits included grasses' maximum height; plant and leaf lifespan; seed mass; month of first flowering; length of flowering period; specific leaf area, leaf length and width; leaf nitrogen concentration per mass and per area; and the grass's specific photosynthetic pathway. The data came primarily from the updated "Jepson Manual: Higher Plants of California" published by UC Press.

Some zones in the state contained as many as 163 grass species, while others had as few as three. In some zones, two-thirds of all grasses were exotics. The researchers found that, in general, the higher the average temperature in a zone, the greater the proportion of exotic grass species.

Exotics differed significantly from natives on seven of the 10 traits in ways that made them more adaptable to higher temperatures. For example, exotics tended to be taller, have longer and wider leaves, higher specific leaf area, higher nitrogen mass in the leaves and higher seed mass, and were less likely to be perennial. Noxious invasives were even more extremely adapted to warmer temperatures.

These traits account for the success of invasive exotic grasses, Dangremond said. Taller grasses, for example, give exotics more light-capturing ability and the ability to outcompete natives for light. Similarly, the larger seeds of exotic species could give these grasses a competitive advantage at the seedling stage.

"As climate changes in the coming century, which at this point is quite certain, this means we expect the distributions of the grasses to change as well," Ackerly wrote. "Sadly, what this predicts is that the alien species that already dominate the Central Valley and other hotter regions of the state will become even more widespread in the future."

"I hate to be a doomsayer, but the problem is getting worse because of humans," Dangremond said. "Humans promote the spread of invasive species by disturbing areas and letting weedy species come in, and grazing herbivores like cows and elk tend to have a negative effect on native plants anyway. Native species really have a lot to contend with now."

Building muscle can lower your insulin resistance risk, which in turn lowers your chances of developing pre-diabetes, and ultimately protecting you from ever suffering from diabetes type 2, researchers from the University of California in Los Angeles revealed in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology Metabolism. Insulin resistance is a major precursor for diabetes type 2.

As the obesity epidemic grows globally, diabetes prevalence is expected to continue to grow. Diabetes type 2 is a major cause of cardiovascular death, the authors explained. People with insulin resistance are much more susceptible to raised blood sugar levels, a major factor in the development of diabetes.

Scientists have known for a while that low muscle mass raises the risk of insulin resistance. However, no study had tried to find out whether increased muscle, regardless of obesity levels, might improve blood glucose control.

Senior author, Preethi Srikanthan, MD, said:

?Our findings represent a departure from the usual focus of clinicians, and their patients, on just losing weight to improve metabolic health. Instead, this research suggests a role for maintaining fitness and building muscle. This is a welcome message for many overweight patients who experience difficulty in achieving weight loss, as any effort to get moving and keep fit should be seen as laudable and contributing to metabolic change.?

Dr. Srikanthan and team set out to determine whether skeletal muscle mass might be linked to insulin resistance and blood glucose metabolism disorders. They gathered data on 13,644 people from what they described as a nationally representative sample.

All the individuals they evaluated were aged 20+ years, none of them were pregnant, and they all weighed over 35 kg.

They found that higher muscle mass, relative to the individual?s body size, was closely linked to superior insulin sensitivity and a lower risk of developing pre-diabetes or full diabetes type 2.

Srikanthan concluded:

?Our research shows that beyond monitoring changes in waist circumference or BMI, we should also be monitoring muscle mass. Further research is needed to determine the nature and duration of exercise interventions required to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism in at-risk individuals.?

Quit Smoking with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) | Lose Habits

Visit www.Tapping.com for more Emotional Freedom Technique videos, EFT articles, and my E-Book. Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple acupressure technique for releasing negative feelings. You feel negative feelings in the body, so you have to go to the body to work on them. You can release a negative feeling right now with this video. Tapping is a great way to reduce the cravings you feel for cigarettes. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q How hard should I tap? A: Tap lightly, just so that you feel it. The purpose of the tapping is to bring your attention to different parts of your body, it actually works if you just imagine tapping ? as long as your attention is drawn to the right points. Q: How can I be sure I am finding the right points? A: Use two fingers to make sure you cover the points. Sometimes the point will ?feel? right, as if there is a slight indent in the skin or the point is particularly sensitive. It?s all connected so you don?t have to be 100% accurate. Q: You have missed out points that Gary Craig teaches! A: Yes. Feel free to tap those too, I left them out to keep the video simple and it seems to work fine without them. If you find the video doesn?t work for you, try tapping the additional points ? around the top-middle of the head, and just under the armpit. Q: Is the sequence important? A: No. You can tap the points in any order. In fact you only need to tap one or two of the points for each particular feeling. It?s just you have no easy way to know ?

Lack of Healthy Options | Health & Fitness Therapy With Mental ...

I?m a film buff and enjoy my trips to the cinema. Sometimes this is a spur of the moment thing so I often want a drink and a snack. I like the occasional treat and fizzy drink, but I like the choice. Shall I have a chocolate bar or an apple? So what?s the big deal just pick up an apple on the way. However Cinema?s say you can?t bring food or drinks purchased elsewhere. So in order to do this you have to sneak the food in. How absurd when you pay a lot of money for a ticket and they don?t provide a healthy option. I would think that the reason for not selling healthier food is that selling high calorie snacks is more profitable and wanted by the majority of cinema goers.

Canadian Equestrian Ambassadors Complete Endurance Race During ...

Le fran?ais suit l?anglais

?? July 25, 2011,Ottawa, ON ? Six individuals representing Equine Canada?s Export Market Development program (EC Export) completed a trade mission to Zhaosu County, in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwest China in early July. The mission?s delegates met their objectives to experience, firsthand, a Chinese-run equestrian sporting event, gain knowledge of China?s current horse husbandry practices and demonstrate that Canada has the expertise to partner with China as it strives to develop a contemporary horse industry.

Photo credit: Equine Canada: Riding borrowed horses, Canadian Equestrian Ambassadors were amongst hundreds who rode in the opening parade of the Invitational Tournament of 2011 Xinfadi Cup the Second National Equestrianism Endurance Racing and Speed Competition in Pasture of Zhaosu County in northwest China. ??

In a different format from previous trade missions, four endurance riders, who took on the role as ?Canadian Equestrian Ambassadors? represented Canada in a four-day equine festival called the Invitational Tournament of 2011 ?Xinfadi Cup? the Second National Equestrianism Endurance Racing and Speed Competition in Pasture of Zhaosu County. Along with a flat racing meet for Chinese-owned thoroughbreds and native horses, the festival was comprised of three days of riding over 260 km in the area?s grasslands, which included an 80 km endurance race on July 1st.

Riding borrowed horses for the event were Elroy Karius, Gail Jewel, Robert Gielen and Wendy MacCoubrey. Each has represented Canada internationally, most recently as members of the Canadian Equestrian Team at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games and/or the 2008 FEI World Endurance Championships. Susan Stewart, the managing consultant of EC Export, led the trade mission and Barbara Daley acted as the communications consultant for the initiative.

?Unanimously, we felt that our greatest contribution going forward would be to facilitate educational opportunities for Chinese equestrians, delivered both in China and in Canada,? stated Stewart. ?Considering this region of China?s history with horses and Canada?s contemporary horse industry infrastructure, a partnership for development has unique possibilities.?

The county?s plan focuses on Zhaosu living up to its reputation as the area of ?heavenly horses?, first recorded 2,000 years ago. With ideal climatic conditions and 3,900 square kilometres of protected grassland dedicated for animal rearing, the Zhaosu area government has its sights on catapulting Chinese horse breeding for modern-day equestrian sport into the forefront. Along with increasing the number of horse sport events offered in the region, it is investing in infrastructure for its breeding sector, including increasing the use of artificial insemination to enhance the area?s native breed, the Yili horse.

EC Export is a catalyst for change. It provides opportunities for Canadians to promote their horse industry abroad and, at times, travel to other countries to experience their industries? current practices and learn about their needs. EC Export?s focus extends beyond its overall goal to increase live equine and equine genetics export revenue. Its long-term objectives are to help Canadians understand and respond to the needs, preferences and buying habits of international customers; promote internationally using the Canada Brand for the equine industry; and position Canada to be recognized internationally as a mature, developed equine nation where quality horses, ponies, donkeys and mules, equine genetics and expertise can be sought by international buyers.

Watch for the full length article on the mission, ?Path to China ? Endurance in Zhaosu? in the August/September issue of Equine Canada Magazine. A photo journal of the initiative can be found on EC Export?s Facebook page at ??http://www.facebook.com/ECExport? www.facebook.com/ECExport, and a blog journal of each day can be found at ? ?http://bit.ly/BarnmiceECExport? http://bit.ly/BarnmiceECExport?. Additional information on EC Export is available ??http://www.EquineCanada.ca/Export? www.EquineCanada.ca/Export.

Francais -Les ambassadeurs ?questres du Canada terminent le raid d?endurance lors de la mission commerciale du comt? de Zhaosu en Chine

Ottawa, ON ?

Personal Injury Cases | Guide To The City

Injury inflicted on the body is a quite common type of personal injury known as physical injury. Personal injury, as a broad legal term, encompasses beyond the physical aspects, in addition it applies to burden and suffering caused by emotional and mental forms of abuse. In the court proceedings, this falls under a kind of tort lawsuit suggesting that the injury is brought on by another person?s negligence. Defamation torts are also a common ground for this lawsuit.

Types and causes of personal injury

Personal injury claims are accidental in nature. The most prevalent types include road traffic accidents. This particular injury is the result of possible negligence of traffic signs and insufficient driver training. On the job or at home, accidents induced by workers or family members may also happen which can be as common as a tripping accident.

More serious types include product liability which can often severely impact the suspected company negatively. Assault claims which happen commonly on the streets or even in the bars are likewise very common. In the professional world, medical and dental accidents leading to medical negligence claims are classified as the most commonly seen among professions. Cases of industrial disease caused by company working conditions are also filed in great number each and every year.

Seeking help from personal injury attorneys

Personal injury attorneys legally represent complainants who claim to experience physical or psychological injury resulting from negligence or error done by another person or entity. When hired, attorneys under this area of law have responsibilities encompassing ethical and professional rules. Such responsibilities include filing of legal complaints, arguing cases in court, and provide legal advice to plaintiffs. Legal documents that are very important in the court proceedings must also be drafted by the same lawyer.

Lawyers who are experts in this area are hired from a personal injury law firm. They commence their service by interviewing prospective clients. In the interview, they must evaluate the case to classify the legal matter. The attorney should then determine the particular issues that collectively build up to be the real problem. With all these preliminary procedures down, he then begins the extensive research about every issue surrounding the legal matter to create a strong case.

What to expect from a personal injury case

Known as the ?no win, no fee? agreement, conditional fees are imposed between the lawyer and his client. If an aircraft accident lawyer, for example, didn?t support his client of negligence claims against the airline company, than the Conditional Fee Agreement applies. In a losing case, therefore, the client will not be paying the lawyer for his services. On the other hand, in the event the lawyer wins the case, then he is granted the typical fee with an additional uplift known as the success fee.

Morocco military plane crash kills 80, no survivors (AFP)

RABAT (AFP) ? A military transport plane slammed into a mountainside in bad weather in southern Morocco on Tuesday, killing all 80 people on board, hospital and military sources said.

The army said 78 people were killed on the spot and two rushed to hospital after the Hercules C-130 crashed on the edge of the Sahara desert in Morocco's worst military aviation disaster.

A hospital source later told AFP that the injured died of their wounds.

Authorities earlier reported that 81 people were aboard the doomed plane but it emerged later that one passenger did not board in Laayoune in the Western Sahara and was mistakenly included in the total.

The plane crashed into a mountain northeast of Guelmim, located about 830 kilometres (515 miles) south of the capital Rabat, the army said in a statement.

Most of those onboard the aircraft were soldiers flying from Laayoune in Western Sahara to the coastal city of Agadir. But the army said civilians, including family members, were also on the flight.

King Mohammed VI "has sent a message of condolence to the families of the victims in his role as the supreme leader of the FAR (Royal Armed Forces)" an official said.

The army statement blamed the accident on "bad weather conditions".

"Above all, it was the fog and bad weather conditions that are believed to be behind this accident. But for the moment, we don't have enough information," an interior ministry official said.

The plane slammed into a mountain around 10 kilometres (six miles) from Guelmin, known as the gateway to the Sahara desert.

"The accident happened in a desert and mountainous area," a Guelmin provincial official told AFP by telephone.

Another provincial official said the plane had been preparing to land at the local military airport at Guelmin when "a huge pall of smoke came from the mountain".

He said the plane had hit the well known mountain of Sayyert.

The bodies of several victims have been recovered from the mountainside and taken to the military hospital at Guelmin, the army said in the statement.

Local sources said family members were milling around the wreckage for traces of their loved ones.

The US-made Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a turbo-prop military transport plane in use in dozens of countries around the world.

"This is a military plane that is used for the transport of troops, but also of their families. It is widely used in the Sahara," the interior ministry official said.

Tuesday's crash was the country's worst air disaster involving a military aircraft. In December 2001, a twin-engined plane used by the paramilitary police crashed in southern Morocco with at least five people on board.

Understanding Venture Capital Financing - Review And Reference

Understanding Venture Capital Financing

Financing a business is the one major stumbling block that may kill off even the brightest of ideas, access to capital is a critical ingredient for any business project to see the light of day. Venture capitalist firms breathe life into new business project by providing finance for viable ventures against a lucrative return, and they go beyond just providing the much-needed capital.

They assist the applicant(s) with the technical elements of starting and running a profitable venture, like marketing and legal issues. This process begins with the evaluation of the business idea and its merits, the venture capitalist will carry out thorough investigations, if they believe it has potential.

The following stage involves drawing up a business plan, and the forming of a managing team and market researchers are assigned to provide a proper market potential analysis.

The venture applicant will need to provide a good business plan and ascertain a proper forecast of the revenue needs, such as the actual cost of developing and maintaining the project and the profit to be earned over a period of five years.

The venture capitalist will accept or deny funding the project based on the facts on the ground and if approved, the venture will resume operations under watchful eyes of the venture capital firm, mostly through an appointed representative in the management board.

The real test for the product or service begins as production kicks off; the true mettle of the venture comes face to face with the opposing actions of competitors in the sector/industry, many of whom will be established entities, with in-depth knowledge of the respective market(s).

The quest to reach the break-even point will test the abilities of the management team, well-calculated decisions need to be made in a show of capacity to the venture investors, the agreement will still be fragile and any sign of incompetence could result in the collapse of the investment contract, delays or the restructuring of the management.

Upon successful completion of the development stage, the management team faces expansion targets by further squeezing its teeth into market steak, issues around extensive marketing campaigns and cost-effective production will need proper analysis. It is ample time to take full advantage of the venture strengths, and doing away with the weaknesses of the business thus far.

All things being equal, the venture can either start introducing new product lines/or services and consolidate its functions. The final stage of the venture financing process will see the investor initiating the exit plan, opening the doors for it to go public, but the risk of a fall out will still be there, or if unsatisfied, further steps will be deemed necessary to achieve the set goals.

Health And Fitness ? Facts About Hair Transplant Procedures

It is getting more common for people to get hair transplant procedures as the methods keep improving.? It is just less obvious than in earlier times when everyone could spot a person with bad hair plugs.? Yet, there are still a few facts about hair transplant surgery that are not widely known.

1.? A large percentage of men have balding issues.? In fact, 50% of American men that are 50 years old or older are dealing with some amount of hair loss.? Hair problems in today?s society beg to be conquered.? Some do it by shaving their heads completely.? Others take the exact opposite route and have hair transplant surgery.? Those who accept their baldness may have a healthy psyche, but they are slightly out of step with the rest of the world.

2.? The procedure is permanent.? If you decide you do not like the results, it is not as simple as taking off a wig to change your hair.? You would have to go through many surgeries and your head may never look the same.? This is why you should never accept any doctor?s offer to do a few hair grafts and see how you like it before doing a full hair transplant surgery.? Once you start, you are committed.

3.? You need several days of rest afterward hair transplant surgery.? Since the operation is so easy to endure, you might think that you can jump up and go right back to your regular activities.? It is just your scalp after all, not muscle or bone.? The truth is that you have many small wounds and you need to protect them.

4.? Hair transplant can be a time-consuming commitment.? Treatment can often last one to two years.? Mega-sessions where thousands of grafts are done in one sitting help to shorten the overall time.? However, the length of these sessions is often grueling.

5.? Hair transplant surgery may be combined with other procedures.? If you do not have enough hair, you cannot have a normal hair transplant surgery.? However, there are other surgeries that can be used in conjunction with hair transplant to achieve similar results.? The difference is that these procedures are generally more painful.

6.? The grafts may not survive.? Few surgeons will divulge to you the fact that hair grafts do not always survive after hair transplant surgery.? The hope is that only a few will be lost and the overall result will not suffer.? The reality is that is what usually happens.

7.? Hair transplant treatments do not cost as much as you think.? For example, you might reasonably spend $12,000 on a hair transplant.? If you got it done at age 30 and died at age 70, you would have the transplant 40 years.

That would average out to $300 per year, or $25 per month.? Many of the supposedly low cost treatments for hair loss cost much more than $25 per month.? You would actually save by getting the hair transplant surgery done in the first place.

Why Getting a Personal Trainer Could Help You Achieve Your Weight ...

This article has been viewed 14 times.

Personal trainers and physical therapists are both involved in the fields of health and fitness. While many people may never require nor utilize the services and expertise of a therapist, it is becoming increasingly common for people to hire a personal trainer. The assistance of a physical therapist, or physiotherapist, is usually prescribed by a doctor to assist in healing and rehabilitation of the body after a serious injury or illness. Therapy offices have medical equipment that is designed for rehabilitating injuries, including specially designed tables, exercise machines, weight or strength training tools, and other equipment that might not be found in a gym or sporting goods store. Walking aids and customized equipment for all types of injuries can be found in a physical therapy clinic.

While some of the weight equipment might be exactly the same as that found in a gym, professional therapists are better traineed incorrectly, especially after an injury, it could do more harm than good. In addition to working closely wid to show you how to utilize this equipment correctly for your injury rehab. Most weight training equipment can be used in more than one way, and if usth patients during the initial stages of rehabilitation, therapists develop maintenance routines to help people return as closely as possible to the lifestyle they enjoyed prior to the injury.

Hiring a personal trainer means you don?t have to think about what is the most effective way to work out as the trainer will know the most up to date methods to get you to your goal. If fat loss is your goal then nutrition plays a huge part of the puzzle, most good trainers can advise you on what to eat and even provide meal plans to follow. Many people get injured whilst exercising because they over exert themselves or continue through pain without realising the damage they could cause. A personal trainer will ensure your form is correct and will know what you are capable of doing without hurting yourself. You may be training for your sport or a 10k run, the trainer will know the best way to achieve optimum performance without over-training.

If one to one is too expensive many trainers offer group training or boot camps. This is an extremely cost effective solution to the problem. Training within a group of like minded people raises the energy levels, the trainer will be there to oversee technique and ensure correct posture is used at all times. The workouts can still be tailored to individuals with progressions of each exercise skilfully taught. Fitness challenges and goal setting all make for a fantastic workout; In fact group training is becoming more popular than one to one for these exact reasons.

While some personal trainers do have degrees in health related fields, this level of training is currently not required. There are a variety of certification programs that range from a few days to weeks of training, so expertise and knowledge will vary widely. Once the therapist and the physician have determined a home care and exercise maintenance therapy routine, hiring the right personal trainer is the logical next step. Nothing will replace the qualified work of a physical therapist when an injury is fresh, but ongoing maintenance can be done with personal trainers who are properly educated and certified.

This article has been viewed 20 times.

It can be a bombshell to hear a doctor say that you have pre diabetes. If it has that effect on you, you are fortunate.

Alarm bells should be ringing, if you have been diagnosed as having pre diabetes. Pre diabetes becomes type 2 diabetes, if you do not take steps to prevent it from happening. Believe me?? you dont want to have type 2 diabetes. It is horrible.

I know something first hand about type 2 diabetes. My mother lost her foot because of it. With the onset of type 2 diabetes, you risk more than just the loss of a foot. It can also cause kidney failure, loss of eyesight and even early death.

The medical profession does not know what causes pre diabetes. It is known that people who are overweight, are prone to it. Many pre diabetics carry excessive abdominal fat; they also live relatively inactive lives.

There is only one way to prevent pre diabetes from becoming type 2 diabetes. You must lose weight and keep it off. Permanent weight loss can only be achieved by doing regular exercise, on an ongoing basis, and adhering to a good diet for the rest of your life.

Most people diagnosed with pre diabetes are overweight because they live a sedentary lifestyle and because their diet is poor. To avoid the onset of type 2 diabetes, both of these circustances must be changed.

Your doctor told you to lose weight. To lose it, and keep it off, is hard to do. It requires a lifestyle change.

You have a choice to make now. You can either change your diet and become more physically active, or you can carry on with your current eating patterns and activity level.

If you dont make these changes, it is likely that you will become a type 2 diabetic. If you do make these changes, you will lose weight. This will prevent the onset of diabetes.

Once you lose weight, you will need to continue to eat in a way that keeps the weight off for the rest of your life. You will also need to remain physically active from now on.

A considerable amount of information exists about exercise routines and diets that achieve weight loss. Much of the exercise info is valid. However, the same is not true about diets. When searching for dietary information, be aware that you need to adopt a diet that results in permanent weight loss. Most of the popular diets do not achieve permanent weight loss. They have been developed for fast weight loss. You will not achieve permanent weight loss, by doing a fast weight loss diet.

The onset of type 2 diabetes is not a forgone conclusion. It can be prevented by losing weight and keeping it off. If you do not lose weight permanently, it is likely that you will develop type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is irreversible.

To learn about an effective pre diabetes diet that will help you to lose the weight that will avert the beginning of type 2 diabetes, the author suggests that you go to http://bestprediabetesdiet.com
